Recipe for Chicken Heart Chilly Fry

‘Kalliz gupp gupp zhata’ was something my Nana always said whenever she'd be
scared! If she saw me cooking so many hearts, I’m damn sure she’d use her famous
line even today! Dedicating this post to Nana in Heaven on her 22nd Death
Anniversary! May she Rest in Peace.

So, Chicken hearts (and all spares) have been my childhood favourite. In India,
we get the whole chicken with all the spares in the pack and when Mum would make
Chicken curry, I’d say an extra prayer for nobody else to find the spares in the
curry. I’d claim all the spares, including the Neck and Wings in my
name😊Looking around people not really fancying chicken spares, I’d always say,
when I get married I won’t need to fight for the spares, I’ll eat them all by
myself. But who knew I’d fall in Love with someone who loves spares much more
than I do! DAMMIT!

The joke of all ages was when we got married and moved to Dubai. Guess what!!!
The Chicken packets had NO SPARES. Say Whattttttttt!!!!Cheater Cocks(or Hens)
!!!

Spares here are sold in individual packets of 500 grams each(Liver and Gizzards
only) But we were turning ‘Heartless’

This time at the Supermarket for the first time I spotted a pack of Chicken
Hearts on the shelf. I didn’t wait a minute more and grabbed it not knowing what
I would make but I just grabbed it. My mind was telling me to put it all in a
curry so Floyd so I could make up for all the years of not finding ‘SPARES’ in
our Chicken packets but then I decided to just make a quick chilly fry to have
it with Pao!

P.S. Clicking the cover photo for this recipe has by far been the hardest. I
just kept plucking and eating the hearts from the top of the plate and replacing
them! Hahahahaha I cannot stop laughing at my Glutty self!

P.P.S. I named this dish 'Kalliz Boom Bang-A-Bang' because anything related to
the heart, you'll find my Mum singing this song 🙂
