Berry French Toast Casserole

This breakfast casserole is easy to make ahead of time, which makes it the
perfect dish for Christmas morning. It's delicious, filling and festive. My
familly even refers to it as Christmas breakfast.

Instructions

1 Cut bread into 1" cubes. Place 1/2 in a greased baking dish. Cut cream cheese
into 1" cubes. Place over bread. Top with berries and remaining bread.
2 In a large bowl beat eggs, milk and honey. Mix well. Pour over bread. Cover and
chill 8 hours or overnight.
3 Remove from fridge 30 minutes before baking.
4 Cover and bake at 350℉ for 30 minutes. Uncover and bake 30 minutes longer or
until golden brown and center is set.
5 While the casserole is baking, make the syrup. In a saucepan combine sugar,
cornstarch and cold water. Bring to a boil. Boil for 3 minutes. Add berries,
reduce heat and simmer 8-10 minutes. Stir in butter until melted.
