🧂 Ingredients

3 Tablespoons olive oil
2-3 Cloves garlic

peeled
1 28 Ounce Can whole peeled tomatoes in puree

crushed by hand
1-2 Fresh Basil sprigs
¼ Teaspoon kosher salt

plus more to taste

Instructions

1 In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium. Add the whole garlic cloves
and fry until golden; 1-2 minutes. Add the crushed tomatoes along with the
tomato puree. Add the salt and stir in the basil sprigs. Lower the heat and let
the sauce simmer, stirring occasionally, until thickened; about 20 minutes.
Taste and add more salt as needed. Discard the basil and garlic cloves just
before serving.
