Apple Butter Caramel Blondies

It's not fall without apple desserts and these apple butter caramel blondies are
here to stay! These blondies combine tart apples with a gooey caramel sauce,
apple butter, and lovely autumn spices. There's really nothing not to love about
these. Just mix, bake, and your whole house will be smelling like cinnamon apple
goodness.

Instructions

1 Preheat the oven to 350℉. Grease and line a 9×9 pan.
2 To make the apple topping, gently pat dry the apples with a paper towel to
remove excess juices. Toss the apples with brown sugar, cinnamon, and apple pie
spice. Set aside.
3 To make brown butter: In a saucepan over medium heat, add the butter and melt,
constantly swirling the pan. Once melted, the butter will begin to foam and turn
golden brown. This process happens quickly, so be careful not to burn. Once
golden brown, transfer to a large bowl and whisk in the apple butter. Let cool
for 5 minutes.
4 Whisk in the brown sugar. Then, whisk in the egg and vanilla until combined.
5 Add the flour, baking powder, apple pie spice, cinnamon, and salt. Mix until
combined.
6 Transfer the batter to the prepared pan and top with the apple mixture. Drizzle
with 2 tbsp of caramel. Bake at 350℉ for 35-40 minutes.
7 Allow the blondies to cool completely, then drizzle with the remaining 2 tbsp of
caramel.
