Baked Apple French Toast

French toast with apples and cinnamon! Tastes like an apple pie without the
fuss!

Apple breakfast brunch french toast

🧂 Ingredients

1 Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
2 Spray baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
3 Cut bread into 1-inch thick slices and arrange tightly in single layer.
4 Beat eggs, then whisk in milk, 3 tablespoons of the sugar, vanilla and salt.
Pour over bread.
5 Combine the remaining sugar and cinnamon.
6 Peel, core and thinly slice apples. Place half the apples over the bread.
Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar mixture. Repeat a second time. Cover and
refrigerate for at least an hour.
7 Cut butter in pads and arrange over apples. Bake uncovered for 30-35 minutes.
Apples should be tender.
