🧂 Ingredients

1 In a bowl, mix together the flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme,
salt, and pepper. This is your batter mix.
2 Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or a deep pot to about 350°F (175°C).
3 Dip each yam strip into the beaten eggs, making sure it's well coated.
4 Coat the egg-dipped yam strip with the batter mix, ensuring it's evenly covered
5 Carefully place the coated yam strip into the hot oil. You can fry a few at a
time, depending on the size of your fryer or pot. Fry until golden brown and
crispy, about 4-5 minutes per side
6 Use a slotted spoon to remove the fried yamarita from the oil and place them on
a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
7 Repeat the process with the remaining yam strips.
8 Serve the yamarita hot, with your choice of dipping sauce or accompaniment.
