🧂 Ingredients

1 Remove your steak from the refrigerator and allow to rest on the counter to come
to room temperature. This takes about a half an hour to an hour. If your steak
was frozen, remove from the freezer a few days before consumption.
2 Season both sides of the steak. I keep my seasoning simple. I season my steak
with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
3 Heat up your skillet. Turn up the stove to medium to high heat.
4 Add a tablespoon of butter and a tablespoon of olive oil to your skillet over
medium high heat. Allow butter to melt and meld with olive oil.
5 Once butter is melted and skillet is hot, place steak in the skillet and cook on
each side for two to five minutes before flipping.
6 Cook your steak in the skillet until it reaches your desired internal
temperature. Use a meat thermometer to measure the internal temp of your steak.
7 Once your steak has reached a desired temp, remove it from the skillet and place
on a cutting board to allow to rest for five to ten minutes before you carve
your meat.
