1 lb
strong flour
1 tsp
salt
2 tsp
milk powder
1 tsp
lard
1 oz
yeast
1 pint
water at 40C
1 tsp
sugar

Instructions

Sift the flour, salt and milk powder into a warmed bowl and rub in the fat.

Dissolve the yeast and sugar in the water and mix into the flour to form a
medium-soft dough.

Knead thoroughly, replace in the bowl, cover with a cloth and allow to prove in
a warm place for 1 hour.

Knead the dough and divide into two equal pieces; mould and place into greased
bread tins.

Allow to prove until double in size.

Bake at 200°C for 35 minutes.
