Instructions
1
In a large skillet over medium heat, add ground beef, onions, salt and pepper.
Cook for about 7-9 minutes until onions are soft and beef is browed. Add garlic
and cook for 1 more minute.
2
Add tomato sauce, basil, oregano, brown sugar, paprika, cumin and worcestershire
sauce. Stir, cover, and cook for 15 minutes to let flavor develop.
3
Preheat the oven to 475 degrees.
4
Cut your pizza dough in half and roll out into 2 equal sized 7"-9" circles.
Transfer pizza dough to a parchment paper lined baking sheet.
5
Sprinkle a ¼ cup of mozzarella cheese on half of the calzone. Top with sliced
tomatoes and about ½-3/4 cup of the ground beef and tomato sauce mixture. Gently
fold over the calzone and seal the open end shut by pinching and gently folding
dough closed. Repeat with the second calzone.
6
Whisk the egg in a small bowl. Brush egg all over the top of your calzones.
7
Bake the calzones in your preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes until top is
nice and golden.
8
Remove calzones from the oven and serve with ranch dressing. Enjoy!
