I was introduced to these crispy beauties when I was a little girl & at that time the concept of Chicken Lollipops were never really heard of. My Mum had a catering business back then and we had a cook named Bahadur and he introduced us to Chicken Lollipops. We were so Amazed with this concept that Mum had introduced it in her Menu and within No time my Mom was called "Lollipop Aunty" among family and friends😅 and she became famous for her Chicken Lollipops. People, till date, associate her with 'Chicken Lollipops' I was just 8 or 10 years old when Bahadur taught me how to break chicken wings to make lollipops. It requires a skill and in my family, only my my Dad and Myself acquired it and within no time I found myself going to teach my family and friends how to 'break the wings' yes at that very age! It was so exciting and still is 😬 Thanks to Bahadur! So here's our recipe for the famous Chicken Lollipop
View RecipeI was first introduced to these Saucy Chicken Lollipops at our College Canteen in St. Andrew’s, Bandra. I used to wait when that damn bell would ring and I’d run down to the canteen and grab myself two of these most delicious Saucy, Spicy Chicken Lollipops! I remember they were called MASALA LOLLIPOPS! Sooooo Good! The Saucy Lollipops seemed to have followed me thereafter, wherever I went. When I was doing my Masters at St. Francis too, these used to be my favourite break time snack. When I came to Dubai, there was no place that matched the College canteen Saucy Lolipops. Once you're able to master flavours and textures, you can try making just about anything at home. I used my Chicken Chilly recipe to try my hand at the Saucy Lollipops with an addition of extra sugar and tomato ketchup and Yayyyy! I’m now eating my Favourite Saucy Pops by the Dozen at Home! Do give it a try. I know you’ll love it 🙂 🙂
