8-10 large fresh or frozen blackberries
3 tablespoons fresh basil, torn
¼ cup honey (preferably local)
¼ cup water
1 (750 ml) bottle Prosecco, chilled
4 oz elderflower liqueur (optional)
Fresh blackberries
Sprigs of fresh basil

Instructions

1 Step 1: Prepare the Blackberry-Basil Syrup

In a small saucepan, combine blackberries, torn basil leaves, honey, and water
over medium heat.

Simmer gently for 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the mixture is
heated through and slightly thickened.

Lightly press the blackberries while simmering to release their juices.

Remove from heat and strain through a fine mesh strainer to remove solids.

Set the reserved syrup aside to cool completely.
2 Step 2: Assemble the Cocktail

If using, pour 1 oz elderflower liqueur into each champagne flute.

Add a drizzle of the cooled blackberry-basil syrup to each glass.

Top with chilled Prosecco, pouring slowly to maintain the bubbles.
3 Step 3: Garnish & Serve

Garnish each glass with 2-3 fresh blackberries and a sprig of fresh basil for an
