goose fat or lard
3 1/3 lb
sauerkraut
1.4 lb
quartered apples
1 tsp
caraway seeds
coarsely ground black pepper

Instructions

Melt 3 1/2 oz goose fat or lard in a pan, add 1.4 lb sauerkraut and stir over
heat for 2 - 3 minutes.

Cover with boiling water, add 1.4 lb quartered apples and season with 1 tsp
caraway seeds and coarsely ground black pepper. Cover with a lid and cook at
180°C for 1 hour.
