2 ounces gin
1 ounce fresh lime juice
1 ounce simple syrup
Soda water or seltzer
Garnish: lemon slice

Instructions

1 Add ice, gin, lime juice, and syrup to a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake.
2 Strain into an ice-filled high ball glass or desired cocktail glass.
3 Fill the remaining glass with soda water.
