Fudgy Sprinkle Brownies

🧂 Ingredients

• 3/4 cup cocoa
• 1 1/4 cups unsalted butter

  melted (2 1/2 sticks)
• 2 cups granulated sugar
• 1 1/2 cups UNBLEACHED all-purpose flour

  (Bleached flour toughens baked goods)
• 4 large eggs
• 1 cup pecans

  (or walnuts) chopped (measure after chopping)
• 1 cup sprinkles
• 3 tbsp. unsalted butter

  melted
• 2 tbsp. cocoa
• 2 cups powdered sugar
• 3 tbsp. 2% milk
• 1 dash salt
• 1 tsp. vanilla extract
• 1/3 cup sprinkles

  as needed

Instructions

• 1 Melt 2 ½ sticks butter (1 1/4 cups).
• 2 Add cocoa, eggs and granulated sugar and mix with an electric mixer or whisk.
• 3 Stir in flour, sprinkles and nuts.
• 4 Grease and flour a 9x13" baking dish.
• 5 Bake at 350° for 45-55 minutes until toothpick inserted in center comes out
  clean.
• 6 Allow brownies to cool about 30 minutes before adding icing.
• 7 Cook butter and cocoa for 1-2 minutes on medium heat.
• 8 Remove from burner.
• 9 Add powdered sugar and milk and whisk to combine.
• 10 Then add a dash of salt and vanilla.
• 11 Spread fudge icing over brownies working quickly so frosting stays smooth.
• 12 Sprinkle evenly with sprinkles.
• 13 Allow brownies to set up before cutting into bars.
