Instructions

1 Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9-inch round cake pan with
parchment paper.
2 In a large bowl, combine sugar, all-purpose flour, baking soda, baking powder,
and salt.
3 Add eggs one at a time, followed by oil, yogurt (or sour cream), and vanilla
essence, stirring until well combined.
4 Soak raisins in dark rum for an hour before adding them to the batter.
5 Spread half of the batter into the prepared pan, sprinkle with half of the
soaked raisins, then add the remaining batter and top with the rest of the
raisins.
6 Bake for 40-45 minutes until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out
clean.
7 Allow the cake to cool completely in the pan before removing and serving.
