Creamy Chicken Pasta

🧂 Ingredients

• 2 lbs chicken breasts

  cubed
• 1 1/2 tbsp butter
• 2 1/2 tbsp garlic

  minced
• 1/2 tbsp pepper
• 8 oz mushrooms

  sliced
• 3 cups spinach

  fresh
• 6 pieces bacon

  cooked and crumbled
• 14 oz chicken broth

  can use low or no sodium
• 1 cup heavy whipping cream
• 16 oz pasta

  penne – uncooked
• 3 oz cream cheese

  cubed
• 1/2 cup Parmesan

  shredded
• 1/2 cup mozzarella

  shredded

Instructions

• 1 In a skillet on medium heat add butter and let it melt
• 2 Add Cubed up chicken breasts and garlic and pepper
• 3 Add chopped up bacon to the skillet and cook with chicken. I didn't have bacon
  on hand, so I used real bacon bits and they worked just fine. You could also
  cook up a few slices on a microwave bacon tray and crumble and add to chicken if
  you prefer.
• 4 Once chicken is half way cooked just about 4 mins add sliced mushrooms and sauté
• 5 Add chicken broth- I use low sodium or no sodium any time I am using broth but
  you can choose regular too.
• 6 Let that come to a simmer on your stove top and then add in heavy whipping
  cream.
• 7 And then add penne pasta (Uncooked) or pasta of choice.
• 8 Mix in pasta until all the pasta is covered by liquid and cover on medium heat.
• 9 Pasta should be cooked in about 7-8 minutes.
• 10 Lift lid and stir then add cream cheese cubed up.
• 11 Then add parmesan cheese and mix until combined.
• 12 Once combined add fresh spinach.
• 13 This last step is optional, but if you love cheese you will love this. Top the
  shredded mozzarella cheese and cover for a few minutes on low heat so cheese
  melts.
• 14 And now it is time to enjoy!
