Instructions

1 In a small bowl, combine yeast, warm water, and 1 teaspoon of sugar. Stir and
set aside until frothy.
2 Heat the milk in the microwave for 45 seconds. Stir in melted butter until
dissolved. Let cool until just warm.
3 Once the yeast has risen, mix it with the milk in a stand mixer. Gradually add
sugar and half of the flour, mixing until a batter-like consistency forms. Let
rest for 10 minutes.
4 Add the egg and salt to the mixture, beating well. Slowly incorporate the
remaining flour to form a soft dough. Knead until smooth and elastic.
5 Cover the dough and let rise in a warm spot until doubled in size.
6 Punch down the dough and let rest for 10 minutes. Roll out into a rectangle,
slice into sections, and cut each into equal pieces.
7 Place pieces on greased baking sheets, cover, and allow to rise until doubled.
8 Preheat the oven to 350°F. Bake for 10-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
9 To make the cinnamon honey butter, beat softened butter until fluffy. Add honey,
powdered sugar, and cinnamon, mixing until well combined. Spread over warm
rolls.
