Turmeric
haldi powder (optional)

Chicken / Lamb stock

Instructions

Heat the oil in a pan; add cloves and cinnamon sticks; saute for 30 seconds.

Add onions and fry till soft. Add garlic and ginger; saute for 30 seconds. Add
turmeric powder and tomato; saute till soft and pulpy.

Add the rice and stir-fry for 1 minute. Add the chicken / lamb stock and salt.

Add the meat and bring the mixture to the boil. Cover the pan, lower heat and
simmer for 15 minutes till the rice is cooked.

Serve hot with chouri§o and lamb, chicken or pork curry.
