Candy Bar Brownies

🧂 Ingredients

• 3/4 cup salted butter

  melted (1 1/2 sticks)
• 2 cups granulated sugar
• 4 large eggs
• 2 tsp. pure vanilla extract
• 1 1/2 cups unbleached all-purpose flour

  (bleached flour toughens baked goods)
• 1/3 cup cocoa powder
• 1/2 tsp. baking powder
• 1/4 tsp. sea salt
• 8.28 oz. bars Snickers Bars

  chopped into 1/4-inch pieces (four 2.07-oz. bars)
• 4.65 oz. bars Hershey's Chocolate Bars

  coarsely chopped (three 1.55-oz. bars)

Instructions

• 1 Preheat oven to 350º.  
• 2 Grease a 9×13” baking dish and set aside.
• 3 In a large mixing bowl, combine butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla extract.
• 4 In a separate medium-sized mixing bowl, combine flour, cocoa, baking powder and
  salt; set aside and reserve ¼ cup of the flour mixture.
• 5 Add remaining dry ingredients to liquid ingredients and mix well.
• 6 Toss Snickers bars into the reserved flour mixture; stir into batter.
• 7 Transfer batter to prepared 9×13” glass baking dish and spread into dish.
• 8 Sprinkle milk chocolate candy bars over top.
• 9 Bake at 350º for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center of
  the dish comes out clean.
• 10 (Do not overbake!)
• 11 Cool on wire rack.
• 12 Chill before cutting into bars.
