4 boneless pork chops

approximately 1 inch thick
Salt and black pepper

2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons butter
2 cloves garlic

Juice of 1 lemon
Zest of 1 lemon
2 tablespoons fresh parsley

Instructions

1 Season both sides of the pork chops generously with salt and black pepper.
2 Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the pork chops to
the skillet and sear each side for about 3-4 minutes, until they develop a
golden-brown crust and reach an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C). Remove the
chops from the skillet and set them aside.
3 In the same skillet, add the butter and minced garlic. Sauté for approximately 1
minute until fragrant. Stir in the lemon juice and lemon zest, combining well.
Allow the sauce to simmer for 2-3 minutes, slightly thickening.
4 Return the seared pork chops to the skillet, spooning the lemon butter sauce
over them. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, ensuring the chops are coated and
heated through.

chopped fresh parsley if desired, and serve immediately.
