Sazerac Cocktail

🧂 Ingredients

• 0.5 oz Absinthe

  for rinsing
• 2 oz Sazerac Rye
• 0.5 oz Simple syrup
• 3 dashes Peychaud's bitters
• 1 lemon peel

  used as garnish

Instructions

• 1 Rinse a rocks glass with the Absinthe, fill it with plenty of ice, and put it
  aside.
• 2 Add the other ingredients to a mixing glass with plenty of ice. Stir until the
  cocktail is well chilled.
• 3 Then take your Old Fashioned glass and remove the ice and all of the Absinthe. 
• 4 Strain the cocktail from the mixing glass into your Old Fashioned glass and
  garnish with a lemon twist.
