Oven Baked Chinese BBQ Chicken

A tasty oven baked Chinese BBQ chicken made with pantry staples and sesame chili
oil. This has great flavor and a bite - not your everyday boring BBQ chicken
recipe!

🧂 Ingredients

3-5 lbs chicken drumsticks
1/3 cup barbecue sauce
1/3 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup worcestshire sauce
3/4 cup brown sugar

1 1/2 teaspoon sage
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
2 teaspoon sesame chili oil

Instructions

1 Preheat oven to 350°
2 Prep baking dish/pan.
3 Mix together the soy sauce, BBQ sauce, worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, sage,
ginger and pepper.
4 Heat and stir until combined. You can do this in the microwave or stove top.
5 Stir in sesame chili oil. Taste sauce. If you'd like more heat, stir in an
additional 1-2 teaspoons of chili oil.
6 Spoon sauce over chicken and bake.
7 Let chicken bake without bothering it for the first 15 - 20 minutes. After that,
baste the chicken with the sauce every 10 minutes.
8 Chicken will be done after an hour. Go ahead and broil it for a few minutes if
you'd like to brown it up a little more.
9 Serve and enjoy : )
