View RecipeFresh off my trip to Denmark, I have a huge craving for all things Danish. And I canât think of anything more Danish thanâŚwellâŚa Danish! From there, it traveled to Italy, then Austria. In 19th century Denmark, a bakerâs strike brought Austrian bakers to the country, who took their now-classic pastry with them. It quickly became synonymous with its new home. Phew, this is a dish that has traveled more than I have!
